Olympic Hurdles?
We’re now well into 2012 and the Olympic Games will soon be here. Whether or not you are based within the M25, this will have an impact on your employees and you need to plan how to deal with this sooner rather than later to avoid complaints and staff performance issues.

You may have employees who have applied to be volunteers or who have tickets to attend: but they will have bought them long before the current leave year started. So have they asked for the time off? How will you deal with situations where you have lots of people who want leave at the same time? Normally you may have refused to grant it, but we now have some exceptional circumstances which can quite rightly be described as “once in a lifetime opportunities.”

You may also have issues about staff getting to work and requests to work from home. Plan in advance how you’re going to deal with the disruption to make sure that everyone is treated fairly.
