Public Sector Strikes
The recent public sector strike meant that many parents found that their children's schools were shut. Whilst this was inconvenient for one day, it may become more problematic for employers if this trend continues in the autumn.

Using emergency domestic leave may be the only way that some parents can cope with such a situation. However, if there is a prospect of more strikes, employers will have to plan how to cope with the disruption.
