Employer’s Charter
The Government has published an Employer’s Charter in which it tells employers of 11 actions it can take including: asking an employee to take annual leave at a time that suits their business; making employees redundant if their business takes a downturn; or dismissing an employee for poor performance. These are all things most employers would have been aware of already. However, it is really important that you don’t forget that you have to act fairly, reasonably and within the legal requirements to carry these out!
