Rate Increases for Statutory Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Pay
With effect from 1st April 2018 the rates for the statutory pay associated with family leave increase as follows:

Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP): For the first six weeks it is still 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings.
For the remaining weeks, it rises to £145.18 (or 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.)

Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP): The weekly rate is £145.18 (or 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.)

Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP): The weekly rate for the first 6 weeks is 90% of employee’s average weekly earnings.
For the remaining weeks it rises to £145.18 (or 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.)

Statutory Shared Parental Pay (ShPP): The weekly rate is £145.18 (or 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.)
