What else can you do?
Speaking to one of my clients recently, I realised that they were only aware of a couple of the services offered by Cherington HR. I had been keeping their employment documentation and related policies up to date for some time but from our conversation it dawned on me that they were unaware that I could help in many more ways and they had been struggling to tackle an issue alone not knowing they already had help at hand. They had a problem with one of their employees and were not quite sure how to handle the associated performance management process. I was able to take them through it and provide the support they needed as and when required.
However, it occurred to me that some of my other clients were probably not aware of the wide range of HR support that Cherington HR can provide throughout the whole of the business life-cycle from taking on the very first employee to retirement, redundancy and the associated succession planning. It also includes all those people issues that occur through that journey including: induction and probation; appraisal processes; training and development; promotion and reward; dealing with absence management – whether that be for sickness or for caring responsibilities; maternity, adoption and paternity leave; handling flexible working requests; consulting over business sales and staff transfers; and dealing with misconduct and performance issues as well as writing the staff handbooks.
